| So sad.... I was born and raised in So Cal and use to frequent that club all the time. Many happy fun memories there. My brothers office is right next to that place. Just so crazy. Many prayers for the families who have lost loved ones in yet another senseless act of violence. Lots of details are now coming out about the shooter. He had a brush with the law prior to this and they suspected mental illness but he was cleared apparently. I think I heard ex marine? He purchased his weapon legally as well but it had apparently been modified to hold more ammo... |

Location: Broxton, Ga | A former Marine -- armed with a Glock 21 .45-caliber handgun with an illegal extended magazine -- opened fire on a packed California country music bar Wednesday night, killing 12 people, including a veteran sheriff's sergeant nearing retirement, officials said.
Dean said the last interaction between Long and authorities occurred in April, when police officers were called to Long's house in Newbury Park, about five miles from Borderline, after reports of a disturbance. When they arrived, officers found Long "irate and acting irrationally," leading to a crisis intervention team being summoned. The team, however, cleared Long and said they didn't feel he was qualified to be taken into custody.
Obviously some serious issues ...........and hindsight is 20/20........and to late for those dead.......
So is this where the background check is NOT working.......guess it depends when he purchased the gun....... |

Location: Pittsburg, Texas 75686 | Mental Illness needs no motive. As always here....they need help. We have to do better with helping these people, their mental illness is the hell they live in. I pray for comfort for all the families involved in this and pray that God Blesses them all. It's not a gun issue people. The bad guys wil get a gun one way or the other, the good guys must be able to protect themselves if necessary. Let's just all pray |
