I have another pink buckle question. Tres Seis is being added, but not listed on the website. I know older horses have to be nominated by the end of this year for the stallions in the program. What about new stallions moving forward? Will it only be weanlings or are older horses eligible? Do the older horses have to be nominated by the end of this year, even though they are not technically on the website? I have tried to contact pink buckle directly and I haven't had a response.
Thanks!

Tres Seis
Carrizzo
Moonin the Eagle was sold at the heritage as being one of the pink buckle stallions for 2019 but I feel like that slot mighta been sold since then.
I've heard Ima Talented Guy is
Most stallions are individually starting to advertise if they for a fact know that they are in the program for 2019 and some I've seen are advertising their spot on the waiting list.

I'm an outsider looking in...............I have a hard time understanding this whole program. From what I understand, the stallion owners are paying in $25,000 a year?? WOW, from a business standpoint, how is this even a good investment? Somehow, I relate it to the NBHA where there are LOTS of horses that hit the 2D and "fall into the cracks" not pulling a check. The top 1D horses make all the money and the rest pay in the money with no return. Some in the 4D or 5D get some money back, like a teaser to keep you entering and coming back.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy going when I have a horse old enough to compete on and hope to make it into the 4D but it is the bottom 3/4 of the horses that fund the top 1/4 of the business. That is the way I see this Pink Buckle program along with inflated youngstock prices to benefit the breeders but it will be the average buyer and average horse that funds this program, not the top horses and trainers.
Along with this stallion slot "thing", where a stallion can be withdrawn if sold but another stallion can replace it??? How is that going to stablize the program??
There seems to be a lot of confusion and questions surrounding the program. I realize it is new BUT there needs to be a clear guideline. JMO
