| I am always interested in the behind the scenes. I know there are tons of stalls at the Thomas & Mack but I feel like I would want to turn my horse out to keep them from getting stiff from so many nights in a row of competing. What do most barrel racers (or other compeditors) do? I am sure some stay somewhere within driving distance rather than on the grounds.. Maybe the ones staying onsite get them out of the stall a lot during the day..
Any insight? |

Location: Idaho | Being from Vegas, I know that some of the barrel racers coming in for the rodeo often find places off site and keeping horses on private properties. It is just quieter, less stressful, also the horses aren't being kept on concrete, are often able to be turned out, maybe get on a hot walker. I have read articles and listened to some podcasts from some of those barrel racers and a lot of them have a team of people to care for their horses while they are out doing signings, showings, etc. For the rodeo and their sponsors.
I would imagine they have a routine down pat on keeping their horses sound and keep them from getting sore (switching horses, soft rides, magnucue, ect.) |

| If you follow Ivy Conrado or MVP supplements on Snapchat or Instagram, you get a lot of behind the scenes information. It's pretty cool! |

Location: The Lone Star State | There was one Lisa Lockhart did either last year or year before that showed where she had Louie off site in a nice stall with a big attached run and showed the barn etc. |
