Married to a Louie Lover Posts: 3303	Ours deal. Actually just got home from hauling to the indoor with the stock trailer in light rain. I really want to polylast the floor though, wet shavings suck. We do have boards we put in the slats when it’s really cold so they don’t have the cold wind in their face.

I use to haul in our old gooseneck cattle trailer back in the day that had a canvas top and had another one with a hard top, the canvas toped one had the canvas that went all the way down in the front so the wind and rain didnt hit them in the face and had a wind block, but sides were open so they still got wet from the traffic that pasted us, so then I finally got my closed in horse trailers so much better. Just depends on what type of trailer it is..

Expert Posts: 1395 Location: Missouri	Mine deal for now. Next spring I want to have it sand blasted and repainted, and at that time I'll have the sides fitted for plexiglass so I can put that on the openings in the winter.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 312 Location: KS	I ordered a stock/combo several years ago, it came with slides. I store them in the neck of trailer. Honeslty have used them maybe once.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 460	If you're worried about the floors getting wet - Any floor in a trailer is (SHOULD be) made with treated lumber, which is made to withstand the elements. You can still get the mats out (if you have any) to let the boards dry. I wouldn't keep shavings in the trailer either, unless you are going to scrape the trailer clean when you're done using it =]
