Location: 31 lengths farms | My dad has recently been in the hospital with vascular disease, he now has dry gangrene in at least one toe. Yesterday the doctors were saying he was needing to go to a rehab facility. Dad also has suddenly gone down hill mentally also, yesterday at the hospital he got violent with us and had to be restrained. Again, at that time his doctors were saying he needed to go to rehab, we were thinking it would give us a chance to get things together at home. Now today my sister walked in to his room and they are saying he has no reason to go to rehab, they will not write a script for rehab and they will be releasing him to our care. We have nothing in place, this all happened suddenly. Does anyone have any information that would be helpful at all?? Anything.

Location: OH. IO | you have had so much on your plate for so long, hugs to you.find the people who said he needs to be in rehab, get them together with the people who said he doesn't need and straighten things out.Was it a doctor?ask him why he changed his mind. You have to do what is SAFE FOR HIM,and for you.Could it be your sister talked them out of it?Who cares for him at home? |

Location: 31 lengths farms | I had been helping a home with him though really it was a matter until last week of making sure he took his meds, doing his wash and having easy things for him to make himself breakfast, ie, oatmeal or the likes for breakfast and then making him dinner. He literally was still driving and going to the gym for pool workouts early last week. My sister is as stumped as I am, we both had just wrapped our heads around the whole rehab thing because the doctor had talked to us about it and we needed that time to figure out how bad the mental clarity thing was, if it was long term, what was really happening there, etc. and try to make arrangement for care at home. Today suddenly its "he is going home and there is nothing we (the hospital) need/can do further".

| Speak to the social worker at the hospital. If your dad is on Medicare it pays for about 28 days of rehab |
