What is the name of the program? I checked my Lifetime channel and all I see is a J-Lo movie, then 'Killer Mom' lol |

It was a replay of the Secretariat movie.
Great movie. Great story. Secretariat is the baddest dude to ever look thru a bridle. He's always been my favorite. A picture of him running across a paddock hangs prominently in my home today.
I got to meet him in 1980. He had an unmistakable aura about him. He seemed to pose for pictures.
Fastest times ever in all 3 triple crown races. And still the fastest to this day. He doesn't get credit for the Preakness record because of a timer malfunction. But everyone knows he is the fastest there too.
Just an awesome racehorse. His Belmont run is one of the greatest sporting accomplishments of all time. Any sport!! What he did that day was supposedly impossible. |

This thread was from a couple nights ago. It is going to be shown again on the Lifetime Channel on (I think) New Year's Day at 4:00 EST (I think) and then again later that night. Hope that helps as I did check the "other showings" when it showed the first time. |

It is on Tuesday, New Year's Day, at 4:00 pm Central Time and then again Weds 1/2/2019 at 1:00 pm Central Time.
Hope that helps a little more as I messed up EST vs. CST...and you can enjoy the movie.

Location: Kansas | I've studied on the conformation of a horse relative to his speed. I watched a documentary years ago where Secretariat was declared by experts to have the most perfect stride a racehorse can have. What an animal. Twenty years ago or so a horse named Point Given lost the Derby (third) but won the Preakness and Belmont. He was an eyecatcher too. Big stout beautiful sorrel.

It's Deb Bennett, I believe, that does articles in Equus magazine about conformation and use based on that. As well as history of the different breeds. She did one on Secretariat that said the same things basically. Very interesting and informative. |
