foundation horse - 2019-01-26 10:17 AM NOTE: ALL Texas Toll Roads are now AUTOMATED. No Toll Booths exist. Photo taken of plate only.

How does that work?  In Kansas our tags are on the back of vehicles and trailer doesn't have a tag so they wouldn't have any idea who to send tolls to.

Automated camera photos of the vehicle and plate. The bill is sent to the registered owner of the plate.

It took them almost 6 months to get a bill sent to my husband from driving on the toll roads. Ive never seen a bill for the 2 times I've driven on one. I do my best to avoid them if at all possible!

Temp tags are registered by the dealership in the states database with the purchasers information. I would drive like normal and if they send you a bill in the mail pay it.  It isnt worth dealing with a toll pass for your one time trip through the state.

I drove out to Colorado with a friend a few years ago...she was buying a truck.  On the way out (toll roads) my tag was sent a bill, for the toll road and hers was not (paper tag).  I would like others just drive with the wait and "see if you get a bill".

Being in Kansas I'm not sure about how the other poster says no tags on Kansas trailers.  The only way that used to be a possibility was if it was under a 2000# weight.  All my trailers are tagged as they legally should be tagged.
