Completely agree. Seems to me the only sensible thing to do with that money first would be to secure our borders. But when has the left been sensible? I'm sure they'll fight tooth and nail on this too.

Well, that’s one way of getting Mexico to pay for it, but it’s not going anywhere and everyone knows it, unfortunately.

Still, it does have some value as political theater.  Lord knows the Democrats do their share of that.

I worked at the City Building in Wichita when a higher-up in the police department took over a Cadillac confiscated from a drug dealer for his personal use.   Boy, did he get in trouble !   I don't think either this great idea could ever fly.

So, wouldn't ever go through for legal reasons or because our gov't is a mess and they won't approve something that makes so much sense?

I tend to think the latter but maybe I'm not aware of legal limitations to confiscated funds.

There is an executive order allowing confiscation of any assets used or gained from drug or human rights violations (think trafficking or sexual abuse). I think that fits very nicely in this case.

Anyone who thinks Trump is doing nothing, seriously has their heads up their butt. But a lot of people don't know what's going on because the MSM doesn't report it. You'd be doing yourself a favor if you stop listening to MSM and start listening to an alternate source of news. There are several that are well researched and very credible.

This all "sounds" good ..... however, the U.S. does NOT have those assets nor will they probably ever get them since they are, more than likely, IN Mexico .... but it is a good "sound bite" for the elected officals to use to stir the pot.
