Location: Missouri | Starting this discussion because I JUST learned the other day that bell boots can be washed in the washer with free and clear detergent and thought "wow my life just got a whole lot easier!"
So, thinking out of the box, what are your favorite tack cleaning tips....not just for a good thorough "spring cleaning," but also what little things do you do to keep your tack clean on a regular basis that maybe someone else hadn't thought of?

Location: Georgia | I use Skidmores or Black Rock conditioner on all my leather tack. It makes your leather feel so supple |

Location: TN | Polos, wash in washing machine, very little detergent. Pads Power washer and and some times a squirt of Leather therapy "wash". every Spring. use shop vac to remove dust and hair as needed Saddles the hose and leather therapy Wash. Bridles same as saddles, throw reins in sink wash in leather therapy "Wash" Wash is super concentrated I use a small pail of warm water and a cloth. rinse well. lay out on patio table and dry then oil. |

| Ive thrown my boots (bells and splints) in washer and they always come out with dirt still under the Velcro..I rinse the off prior to but the parts that overlap and have Velcro always keep dirt..any suggestions to what I'm doing wrong!? Love this post BTW!! |

I feel stupid for asking.....but is this leather therapy wash a product or a concoction you make up? If a product, where do you buy it? Would your process for reins work on leather breastcollars? After taking the conchos off of course. |

I pressure wash them all and have never had any problems doing that. Also I take all my bell and splint boots to the local laundromat. Im not putting those dirty things in my regular washing machine  |

Love this post BTW!! I don't pressure wash the velcro, but I will use a more heavy huty nozzle and spray off the velcro that way and it gets all the dirt and grime out.
