| JAMES 3:3 We put bits in horses' mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. Faith begin with knowing Christ, and it continues with sowing consistent behavior that honors and glorifies our Lord. This consistency manifests itself in our talk and our walk , our conversations and our conduct. Too often, however our speech does not honor God because we don't have control over our tongues. A horse controlled by a bit can be of great use, but an unbroken horse can do great damage. Just as a horse needs to come under its masters control our tongues need to come under our Master's control. A horse can't bridle itself. The one who mastered it puts the bridle on. Try as we might, we can't control our tongue through our own efforts. After all, what we say actually originates in our hearts, not our mouths. When we yield ourselves to the control of our Master, Jesus, our speech can honor Him as well as bless others . Lord, bridle my tongue today for my good anfor Your ultimate glory, guide me to do ALL things that will bring glory and honor to You. AMEN for it is WITH God ALL things ARE POSSIBLE Matthew 19:26 |
