Do these make decent barrel horses for the average NBHA/playday type rider who also would want to trail ride and move her husband's cows from pen to pen.  Pony the grandbabies, etc.... But still make a decent showing on the weekend races...? ?

Neither name shows "on the papers", but they both appear a time or two just off.   I'm just not looking to have to spend the next 5 years dealing with a "cowboy horse" mentality.  I want a good-minded, all-around,  family-friendly, "Oh my goodness he's so beautiful!" Mack truck of a blue roan horse.  :)

I'm willing to spend 5 years dealing with normal baby horse shenanigans...

And I found this one that goes back to Eddie 40.

It they are off the papers and not line bred those bloodlines have relatively little impact on the horse. So the question is, if you have found the individual, do you like it? Does it have a solid temperament and generally good conformation. If so, you should be fine.
