Location: IL | Anyone feed natural vitamin E capsules that people take to horses? Any results? I bought vitamin E from walmart, each capsules is equal to 1000 IU. I'm feeding 4 caps a day. I double checked and it's Natural E. Just trying to cut costs. My horse last year tested low in vitamin E and with the season starting I'm starting to supplement her again. I gave elevate last year and had good results with it, but I'm trying to save some money this year. |

Draw blood again to make sure it is working.
I will do that, but I just started it so I was wondering if anyone else had any input. Takes awhile for the vitamin E to start showing signs it's working anyway. Last year it took about 6 weeks for her to start working nice. |

Location: North Dakota | I purchase capsules on amazon for my metabolic gelding. I get 250 1,000IU capsules for $20. I give 4,000IU per day so the bottle lasts about two months. It is natural vitamin e and non oily. I open the capsules and dump the powder into his feed and make it stick with oil. My gelding won't eat the human oil capsules in feed. https://www.amazon.com/Vitamin-Capsules-Non-Oily-Non-GMO-Gluten/dp/B078Y7Z5ZR/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2NDG3TQNLMK78&keywords=vitamin+e+1%2C000+iu&qid=1556043867&s=gateway&sprefix=vitamin+e+1%2C00%2Cpets%2C172&sr=8-3 Last week I was told that THE equine edge sells natural vitamin e. Which was a good price point. 5,000 IU per serving and 160 servings for $84. https://www.grazingbitperformancehorses.com/product-page/vitamin-e |

| I feed the 400 iu natural vitamin E capsules from Swanson's vitamins. I feed 5 caps a day. It's so reasonable! Horses we eat it perfectly in their feed! |

| I feed THE Equine Edge Vitamin E. But I was also wondering about the human kind of Vitamin C. Would it be OK to feed to horses? |

I don't know anything about vitamin C? I saw the powered from of Vitamin E THE offers, but I like the liquid better. I just break the capsules open and put in feed. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I dont think the human form of any vits is the right way to go for horses, their system is so different from humans and the dosage is way different, I use vits that are made for horses and I just started my IR gelding on this Vit E I got from Valley Vet, its Elevate.. |

| There is another liquid vit e the same as elevate only less expensive. Emcelle tocopherol made by Stuart Products. It is all natural. Elevate also makes a powder that is less expensive but powder is not as efective as the liquid and it takes longer to get in their system. My horses were extremely low on Vit e and after 30 days on the liquid their levels were normal. I'm not familar with feeding human grade vit e but get the blood tested and see if it works. |

Location: IL | Hi I was using elevate liquid vitamin E last year and then I switched to the powder elevate to finish out the season. I am going to do a blood test to see what my mare's levels are at. I'm giving her the same amount of vitamin E the elevate liquid was providing per my vet which was 4000 IU once a day. It is not the synthetic vitamin E. Made with soy bean oil. |
