I leave out free choice minerals and I love the HorsLic tubs. I now have more buckets than I ever need thanks to them!

I just ordered equilix. I saw it can be ordered online and fed ex brings it! Works for me because I live way out from town. I’ll be curious to see how the horses do on it. And if they will even lick it or end up licking it too much. I have a mixed age groups out on 5 -7 acres and noticed that they aren’t licking the salt blocks much if at all ??‍??

I LOVE the Equilix tubs. They don't have the added molasses and that's a big deal to me. Mine cleaned their first ones out FAST. But once they got what they needed, the next tubs last much much longer.

Will these tubs be a substitute for salt and mineral blocks?

I was feeding lick tubs, but mine would go through them quickly and were still eating on trees. So I switched to loose mineral, I haven't had a problem with them eating dirt or trees since then.

Does anyone have issue with their horses pawing at these tubs?  I used a tub and had my colts pawing at it, so much it blunted the front of their hooves.  The farrier gave me a talking too about that, so I switched to loose mineral.

Yes my old horse is a pig. And he totally hogged the tub and pawed it constantly. For that reason I’m not getting another one. I wonder if it’s because it’s grain based. If I could separate him and let the others have one it then I’d buy more. I did the same and put out a bucket of loose minerals formulated for our area- from my vet.
