Location: Kansas / South Dakota | I have been looking into several different pre-race pastes (would love to hear your favorites, btw!), and was curious if you could give multiple before running? I am looking for something to help with anxiety/calming/focus, respiratory and recovery, but also interested in something to add a little fire. Would they wash each other out if you gave something for both?? |

| I really like Finish Line Stretch Run! I also highly recommend Red Cell (the jug, not the paste). But, both of these are for performance and recovery. Both will achieve a fairly high energy boost. This will definitely add fire! I am a little bit confused as to what you are looking for...are you looking for something to add fire, or a calming agent? I don't really know of a pre-race paste that will both calm anxiety and add fire...? I don't know how safe or unsafe it would be to double up on a pre race paste. But from seeing the effects of what just one will do, I would not give more than one to mine =] |

| My mom went to the NFR 6x and put on a lot of clinics........ one thing I remember sooooooooooo vivedly is when she said " A horse can only run as fast as they are able to run. There is nothing you can feed or give them to change it" She also said that there is no " Supplement for try" A horse either wants to win and is a competitor by nature or they are not. So for me, I do everything I can to keep them healthy and sound so they CAN maximize their potential and feeling good. I have an excellent farrier, Vet, Chiro, the rest is all on them. LOL |

| I'm not sure its fair to a horse to give them a calming supplement and something to add fire at the same time. Thats like you taking benadryl & drinking a red bull. |

I think this bears repeating! We all want our animal athletes to perform to the best of their abilities and make them feel the best they can to do so, but you can also get caught up in doing "too much". If the talent/desire isn't there, nothing is going to make a 3D horse suddenly win the 1D every time. |

| It sounds like MVP's new Breathe-O2 paste is exactly what you're looking for, in one paste :) It supports air-way/respiratory function, oxygen & energy, and the ingredient tyrosine is known for focus. |
