My retired gelding, now 26,  is a grandson of Cutter Bill. He wasn't patterned until he was 16. I ran him till he was 22. He wasn't real fast but had an attitude like he was much faster LOL He's the horse in my avatar.

I did just about everything with him. Penning, extreme cowboy races, judged trail rides (with obstacles), games and trail riding. You can swing a rope off him too. We suspect he was used on the heel side of roping but since I don't rope I can't say for sure.  I wish I could clone him.

I am old enough to have actually seen Cutter Bill.  He was one good-looking horse!!!  Pretty palomino with long mane and tail -- beautiful head and he was extremely athletic.  He was quite the rock star during his time.

I will admit to limited experience with Cutter Bill bred horses. I do own one, Cutter Bill being a grandsire on the bottom side.

He is old school cow, foundation on the bottom. Reiner on the top side. He has wheels. I have a friend who ropes pro who did not like Cutter Bill for rope horses and warned me about them yet he was the best horse I have ever started in the box, breaks hard, fast, flat right from the get-go. Doesn't require a lot of scoring.

I also showed him low level reined cow horse. I never was out ran on the fence but scored low in the cutting and boxing. (Not a stopper)

I have a friend who breeds, trains and runs pro, she'd like to see him on the barrels.

I can't attribute all of his accomplishments to Cutter Bill based on my very limited experience obviously but I wouldn't rule him out either if I was looking at papers.
