Today is
I have a Cajo daughter. She was injured as a youngin in a pasture accident and never quite came back fully sound, but she ran barrels. Mostly in the 3D and occassionally hit mid-bottom 2D. Straight legged and big bodied mare. Would you breed her? If so, who would you breed her to?
Bump
giving this a friendly bump for you
How is she bred on the dam's side? What would you be hoping to improve on by breeding her (ie are you wanting more speed, cow, etc.)? Would the foal be yours to keep or are you looking to raise and sell it?
This is her mom.
Primarily sprint speed (between barrels). My mare has speed and more stamina than many, but her start/stop, start/stop is not as quick or as fluid. Shes average athetic. Not the crazy athletic you see with the wild moves around the barrels. My favorite style is the "Louie."
I would be breeding to keep but want to be mindful of ability to sell. I have kids in the future and already have a primary barrel horse who is fairly young. So depending on how all timing works out, baby may be sold or may be kept.
BUMP for the weekday crowd
