Is there anybody on here that could explain the chemistry analysis on 3 horses from a Complete Blood Count? Allo the vet said was everything was normal. I am a worryier though and there was a couple of things on the blood count that stood out to me. I can either e-mail you or mail it to you just shoot me a PM. Thanks.

Are you on Facebook? There is a group called Horse Side Vet Corner that answers questions like this. But only actual vets answer them.
Vet here... Post a picture of the bloodwork
Which ones are worrying you?
I don't do FB. The RBC says low; the MPV says high and the GLU says low on my 30 year old and on my 24 year old the MPV says high; the GLU says low. I just don't know what these mean.
I am not a vet -
This is a good article explaining results in laymans terms - https://equusmagazine.com/diseases/decode-horses-bloodwork-27122
This is another link with "normal" values listed for each result - http://cal.vet.upenn.edu/projects/fieldservice/Equine/EQCLPATH.htm
If your vet says not to worry, in general I wouldn't worry either.
Yes I know I shouldn't worry but I also have read where horses that are turned out generally don't have any colic issues. But I know of 3 horses that died because of colic and all three were out on pasture. One of the horses was my mare who I had too put down back in April because of colic issues. So I am a natural born worry wart with my other two now.

My daddy tells me I worry so much that if they don't have something truly wrong with them, I'll come up with an unknown disease for them to have. . . .
also a vet here... i can look at them as well.
Did you find anything out yet?
