Hard making choices!  For those of you with bold colors on your walls do you wish you went with nuetral?  and those with nuetral do you wish you went bold? My kitchen and living room with be open to ea other.  Was thinking bout doing bold in my bedroom but I want it to be like a retreat and soothing.  I dont want to repaint once I paint!  and what bout the ceilings? white or color of your wall?

We kept our paint colors neutral in our home when we built it five years ago -- and I am very happy we did.  It's allowed me to use various accent decor in colors -- and easy to change the look / colors.  Our bedroom is a soft light blue which is very soothing.  Our dining/living/kitchen is one large room and we used Revere Pewter for the color (it's a light to medium grey).  The ceiling in that room is beaded six-inch cypress plank (natural color just a sealant). Trim is SW Dover White throughout the house.  We have white oak hardwood flooring throughout the house -- with just a sealant -- left it the natural color.

IMO, neutral colors are 'classic' and timeless while bold colors are much more trendy -- it's easier to pinpoint the point in time when you built a home if you have bold colors since the colors used tend to be very trendy.  Neutral colors allow you to put the focus on your furniture and decor selections -- which are easier to change out.  Painting an entire house to change the look is a pain in the butt.

Bold wall colors in homes give me anxiety. Lol! That much color is just so in your face when you enter the room. I prefer nuetral wall colors with small pops of color through decor or flowers or something like that.
