I hate bathtubs in corners bc they are hard to clean for me.  I dont mind against the wall.  But Im wondering bout putting the tub in the middle.  It would be so much easier to clean!  By the way Im splurging on my mbath and making it a getaway!  I been in a bathroom years ago with the tub in the middle but I dont know if not good idea bc I havent seen anymore like this! So what you all think?

I've seen them in the middle -- newer built-in style and also stand-alone claw-foot style.  We did away with a tub in our Master bath when we built five years ago -- instead, we have a HUGE shower with three shower heads. We love it--absolutely no regret about not having a tub in the Master. There is a built-in tub in our guest bath.

Make sure you measure and lay it out - even do a “real life” chalk drawing on the driveway or something.  I have no need for a bathroom big enough to put a tub in the middle of it and still be able to comfortably move around it.  But we also live in 900sqft comfortably the 2 of us.  We’re planning an addition to add 2 more bedrooms and a 2nd bath to start a family, but of minimal size.

Thats my only thought about it really.

it is gonna be a 960 sq foot house.  1 bedroom.  we have no kids.  Ive looked at several bathrooms online  my bathroom gonna be 10x12   I seen one that i like it had the bathtub shortend attached to wall and they put 1 sink with vanity on each side.  I couldnt see where the shower and toilet was.  This would allow to get on both sides of the tub to clean so much easier.  Still not sure what to do yet.  But I have to have a tub.  I love soaking in epsom salt. How I survive lol!

What if you put the one end of a tub in the corner?  that way you can get almost all the way around it, the plumbing can come from the wall not the middle of the floor, and yet save you some floor space?

My personal preference would be to have it along a wall with a window to a view (not the neighbors backyard) lol.  We put in a garden corner tub with our home in 2002 and didnt take me long to regret that decision.  i have a huge bath and sure wish i would have put a regular shaped jetted tub in, instead.

Sounds similar to our house.  It is basically a 24x40 rectangle.  Our laundry is in our bathroom as well as our utility closet.

A couple things I love about it - 36” wide doors.  30” is standard, the extra 6” is very nice when carrying things and when my husband had to have surgery shortly after building the house, getting around with a walker or someone helping him was much easier.

Acid stained concrete floors throughout.  Super easy to clean, not a big deal if we walk in with muddy boots or the dogs are a little dirty.  No transitions from one flooring to another.  We also have in floor heat - in the winter I love putting a little blanket over my feet and trapping the heat, gets nice and toasty.

I have seen it in a few bathrooms that were really big.  One had the bath tub in the middle and created a his and her sides of the bathroom, I really like this bathroom.  If you have a really big bathroom I'd say you can likely get away with it.  Remember you will be tearing up the floor and foundation (possibly) to move your plumbing.   The other thing I would consider is resell value.  Maybe look on Pinterest and see if there are some pictures of bath tubs in the middle of the room to get an idea of what is looks like etc.
