When a horse is going in and working good several hours after exhibitions (ie larger races where you might exhibition at 4:30pm and not run until 9pm) I’ll start to pick and choose some smaller races at familiar arenas to try skipping exhibitions and see how it goes.

I let them tell me.

Once I feel they are loping thru in the 4D I quit exhibitioning which is pretty quick after I start to haul one. I will only exhibition after that if I feel they need to see inside the pen for some reason... ground, banners, outside the pen crap...

I stop exhibitions when I start entering.  My endgame is always to make a rodeo horse, so I don't want them dependent on exhibitions.

Depends. I'm a creature of habit so if mine is winning with exhibitions I will do them until I'm about forced not to LOL. Once I then realize they will run the same no matter what, I'm fine with stopping them. But if I'm chasing points for something important I don't change my routine up until I'm made to.

When I realize that they're a crutch for me and I need to just go in there and start making some runs and addressing the mistakes that come along with that process. It's gonna be ugly for awhile, but it's hard to make yourself go through that process.

When I get too lazy to get up early and get to the show in time to exhibition.  If im not nervous about it anymore then its probably time to quit

I quit pretty much when I start entering one. I feel they need to learn how to run without them. I want them to learn to go in and make one run. Unless Im working on a specific issue, then I will do one or two very early in ex. I always take mine on the first or second page. I hate taking a bunch of exhitions.

Generally when we're both bored with the exhibition. Or if the exhibition is lovely and the wheels come off in the run.

Exceptions made for greener horses in a different kind of pen - covered, indoor, we've been running in sand traps and this one is gigantic, the Ocala Pavillion because I can never ever find the first barrel there, etc.
