I am posting this because I know this isn't in my head for sure now. I have noticed lately my horse's stomach has been grumbling? This has been going on for 2-3 weeks I'd say. It's not like on repeat and doing it every few minutes, but I don't remember hearing his stomach grumble ever before lol...he isn't acting sick or lethargic and he is eating all his food and everything. He gets quite a bit of food in my opinion. 6-7 pounds of grain a day, and quite a bit of hay. When he is turned out he has a round bale out there. The round bale isn't the best quality but I'm sure he still eats it when he's out there. When I keep him in he gets a nice amount of hay as well and it's better quality than the round bale. What could be causing the stomach grumbling? Like I said he isn't acting sick or anything, but I still want to know what could be causing his stomach to grumble like he's hungry. TIA.

Edit: He is pooping normally, if anything he poops a lot...it isn't runny or anything either, looks normal.

Gut sounds are perfectly normal and HEALTHY. It's when you dont hear them it could pose an issue. :-

I just wonder why I don't seem to have heard them this much before? I'm glad it's a healthy sign though!

If it is worrying you, call the vet. Maybe you can hold your phone to his gut for the vet to hear if you don't want to haul to the vet.
