Does anyone run in, or host, a barrel series that tabulates points for year end prizes (in addition to the weekly payouts)?  I host weekly jackpots but looking to do something next year that incorporates points for prizes at the end of the season and I'm looking for ideas on how other people have awarded points for year end prizes.

We have several series jackpots in our area that give out awards.

Most have an awards fee of $30 to $50 that you pay into at the beginning of the series if you want to run for awards and points are awarded on a horse/rider basis so you need specify which horse you want to receive points on. It's nice because it give people the option of awards if they want them. 

Check out this website. It is a local Barrel racing assoc. in my area. We run for money every show which also gives us points for year end awards.
