| I have been meaning to get a new barrel saddle for awhile and have looked at just about everything. I recently came across the new Corriente barrel saddles and was wondering if anyone else had any experience with them? I used to only ride in Corriente barrel saddles but I grew out of them and have been riding in a Cactus ever since. I just really like the look of them and they seem like a bargain for the price. Being that I am a full time college student and am taking care of 3 horses on my own, having a good saddle for the right price is important to me. Side note: My horses backs are not hard to find a fit for. Here are some examples of what I am looking at https://www.corrientesaddleco.com/collections/barrel-saddles/products/csb-550e-corriente-new-style-barrel-saddle

| I owned the newer style Corriente. Fit my horse great but I did not like the way it sat me. I felt way up and over my horse. |

| I haven't had a CSC barrel saddle.. but I did have 3 of their roping saddles and I loved them all. Fit my horses well and held up excellent. I've 2 youth saddles as well and again no complaints. These were bought probably 5-7 years ago... however my daughter got a ranch cutter brand new last year and I didnt like it... at all.. I sold it pretty quick. The leather felt different, and the tree they had it on was way too narrow for her horse, wasnt like the corrientes I remembered. I've heard a few people say things changed. I probably wouldn't go looking for one now. I just got a teskeys barrel saddle in on a trade and I absolutely LOVE this saddle... it fits my horse perfectly and puts me right where I like. |

Location: In The Snow, AZ | I've had Billy Cooks, Circle Ys, a Lisa Lockhart, and a couple others. I now have three Corrientes and won't ride anything else. I mean... maybe if I won something else. HA.
But, we purchased one, and won two of them. I love them. My newest has the in seat rigging and is my favorite. I love the free swinging and can really hustle my horse better than before. The only thing I'd suggest is to make sure you get the rough out. I designed one with the tooled option... and, well... theres a reason it sits on the hutch in the house.

Location: New Mexico | I literally have the second one you listed and I do really like it. The quality is great but I will say that it does not fit all of my horses. I don't really expect it to just because horses backs and trees are all so different but I just wanted to point that out. |

Location: SW New Mexico | Brother Dave has won a couple of Corriente saddles.. I just ordered a nice one, the second picture he won at the NMRA Finals. They'll put the lettering on it, and I want basketweave pattern. With a lower horn and gold sunflower conchos.
I've been to their place , it's not far from me.. They're great to work with..and I'm looking forward to getting my saddle by Christmas. The first picture is the one Dave won last year.. The Baize family owns Corriente..they also rope, and ride.

Location: North Dakota | I won a "high end" Corriente earlier this year. I was quite impressed with the quality for the price. The horse that won it is hard to fit, so the Corriente didn't fit him, but it did fit my other two horses and seems to have nice shoulder clearance and sit nicely on them. I ended up selling it because I rode in it a couple times and I didn't like how it placed ME in the saddle. I am used to being able to really SIT DOWN in my barrel saddles, and the Corriente made me feel like I was "perched" up like in a show saddle. I just didn't like that for me. Seem to be very nice saddles though, especially for the price and options. |

| I bought one last year after I rode in a friends and I love it! so far it has fit everything, I may have to change the thickness of the pad on the really fat ones. The only thing is they are heavy saddles, built to last a long time! This is what I bought.
