| Psalm 63:1 Oh God, You ARE my God; early I will seek you; my soul thirsts fro You; my flesh longs for You; in a dry and thirsty land. Of ALL the things I have done in life, NOTHING outweighs the IMPORTANCE of TIME spent alone reading meditation on, praying God's Word. The GREATST return on investment I have ever known is from my morning quiet time with my heavenly Father. We think we need so many things today, but we PRIMARILY NEED God's presence. He has promised to be with us always, so like David, let's spend time with Him daily! David wrote this psalm while he was in hiding from King Saul in caves near the Dead Sea, which is one of the most arid places on earth. Yet, notice Davids words, He is not complaining about a lack of water or even the heat. David states that his need, his thirst , is for the PRESENCE of his God. David identified God's presence as loving kindness. He says it is better than life, in esssence, more important than the water his body desperately needed. For it is WITH God ALL things ARE POSSIBLE.
