I was wondering if someone could help me price my foal to be. I bred my mare to Slick By Design and wanted to know how much a foal by this stallion would be worth. Especially since the dam has a pedigree of Dash For Cash, Go Man Go, Zevi,Go Andy Go, Zevi Garret, Some Dasher, Top Deck, Cornish Prince, Count Fleet, Bold Ruler, Nasrullah, Joe Reed 2, Joe Reed, Bull Dog, Whirlaway, Old Sorrel, Bromstick, Rocket Bar, Rocket Wrangler, etc... she is a very fast horse with amazing composition and very smart. She has a pretty head and is so sweet with a puppy dog personality. She was a 1d barrel horse winning checks wearever she went when she had a fracture in the long Pastern bone in her leg and is only broodmare sound. What do you think?

At what age do you plan on selling the baby?

If the mare is proven (has traceable 1D winnings via Equistat, etc) I would expect a weanling to bring in the 6,000-8,500 range. Maybe a little more if the mare is well known or has been a proven producer.

Basic rule of thumb is 1 1/2 to 2 times the stud fee on average.

What are the mares bloodlines the first 2 generations on her papers? For resale, that's about all that really matters. once something is a great grandson or great granddaughter, meh. Can't use that for advertising really.
