I have rewatched the last one again and again, when John Dutton takes his dad out of the hospital bed and out on horseback again and again....And again.

Started watching it for Kevin Costner, I used to laugh and tell my mom he was her future ex son in law.  But the characters drew me in even if the story sometimes in a little rough. My one complaint is if they could just not show Kaycie or however they spell his name riding horseback that would suite me fine, his is the one character I haven't quite figured out .

I wonder if the producers thought Kayce was going to be the heartthrob. I'm not sure about y'all, but my attraction to Rip kind of took me by surprise. It wasn't immediate. I felt like the show kept pushing me towards Kayce, but several episodes in, I realized I was ALL IN with Rip. His quietness adds to his sexiness!

Kayce really grew on me the 2nd season. He's still not Rip good looking but not too bad in the 2nd season.

Bought the DVD, watching episode 1. But why in Gods green earth do these shows portraying western life have to be so friggen inaccurate. Seriously it actually ****es me off. I've watched and assisted in a lot of calvings, including backwards ones. NEVER EVER EVER has a calf got up and run off immediately after being born. Geesh. What purpose did it serve in the show to have the calf and cow jump up and run? Other than to make me roll my eyes and contemplate turning it off. Seriously I need to be hired out to these tv/movie people to keep them from this far fetched crap they insist on putting into shows. I'm giving it another chance but ??????????

Hang with it please!!!   I said the same thing to Sean on that part--half grown cow portrayed as new born calf and sprints off at 2 seconds old---but I promise it's worth it to keep watching!!
