Nazism is a problem in our country (as we have seen in recent right-wing protests... 6MWE, anybody?), but I don't think you guys have any idea what it is or what it stands for.
You mean those right wings protesters/Nazis who burn businesses, loot stores, intimidate home owners and burn the American flag........oh wait, that's Antifa and BLM, left wing groups. When you see violence at a right wing protest it's because left wing groups show up to spoil the party and hurt people.
I'm actually talking about the ones making Nazi salutes and wearing shirts that say "6 million wasn't enough". And the whole Parteiadler being cartoonized and sold on Trump merch ain't great, honestly. It's a pretty obvious dog whistle. | |

This kind of thing scares the hell out of people. I'm glad you are offended. This is some Orwellian sh!t. This has absolutely nothing to do with your deceased relative. This legislation is baseless and will only add to the tragedy of this pandemic. Just to refresh your memory, we've done things like this in the USA in the past.....are you aware? If so, tell me.
Frankly, I don't care if you don't like the proposition. It sounds like it wouldn't go anywhere anyway, since it seems to go against a person's medical autonomy. What I do care about is the fact that none of you seem to know anything about the history you are trying to reference, which is incredibly frightening.
So you couldn't answer my question, although you seem to be of the attitude that you ought to decide who is qualified to teach history to kids over Zoom. Let me assist you in answering that question you conspicuously ignored. You seem to like the proposition of whisking people off to detention centers. Do YOU like it? Would you vote in favor of this? If so, why? I asked you if we have ever done this before, and you completely ignored my question. I assume because your google search came up empty. I'll help you along.....yes, we have done this before. Do you know when?

Anyone making Nazi salutes and wearing shirts with anti Semitic slogans is a prick. Pricks are everywhere. Incendiary speech, slogans, gestures, and symbols are ubiquitous. Nonetheless, free speech is protected. I'm guessing if you had your way, people would be punished in some way for using an unacceptable gender-specific pronoun.

Of course that was a Democrat executive order (FDR) that put tens of thousands into forced detention centers (essentially concentration camps) simply because they had slanted eyes. Here's the deal though. What FDR did was he went along with the mob rule mentality back then. It's actually somewhat understandable, under the circumstances, but grotesquely unjust. Those Japanese Americans were loyal patriots whose sons fought as a segregated unit in Europe and became the most decorated unit of WWII. Since then, Japanese Americans remained loyal, hard working, and patriotic.
