| From what I've read it will interrupt the absorption of copper and zinc creating an imbalance in the diet. Iron has been under scrutiny... some "experts " believe that iron overload in horses could be causing the spike in IR and cushings cases ... depending on your soil, hay and water source horses can be getting too much iron ... well that's what I've been reading a lot of lately... so now I just look at iron levels in feed or supplements because I'm curious... take Bluebonnet... I asked the question yesterday to their nutritionist, asking about the iron content in their feeds.. not all their feed has iron in it. The total advantage does not, I noticed the ex factor does so I wanted to know why... they told me some of their feeds do not contain it, it occurs naturally in some of the ingredients but none added in. Ex factor has it "added" in... never got why but... just something to ponder... Edited to add.. when I said "it" will cause an imbalance, I wasnt referring to red cell as a whole.. I was talking about too much iron

Its a blood builder, its got alot of iron in it, alot of my race horse buddys used it back in the day. Its a good supplement just dont over use it because it can get a horse real hot real fast. It wont make a horse faster then what he is, just gives a lot of energy. |

| Renew Gold SENIOR formula will add some pep to them for SURE. Another option if you don't want a daily is to give some whole oats 1-2 hours before a run, it will give them a boost. |

Location: Illinois | Red Cell will make them run for sure, a lot of them also lose their brain on it though. I tried it on my horse and I got 2 extra gears out of him, but he completely lost his automatic consistency. I never could get the brain & run to balance with it and after a few weeks on it he went back to normal & lost the run again. He runs better on the MVP Breathe O2 paste and the Air-Way EQ. Plus conditioning & sprinting/breezing more often helps too. There was a meme that I swear was created for horses put on Red Cell

| If you want something to add some gas the day of the run, work with your vet and inquire about Ventipulmin. Be sure to ask questions and start slowly (small amounts) if that is the route you choose. |

Thats just too funny, The barrel racers that I knew would try it also but they always over did it and made their horses goofier then ever, When I did try it many moons ago I would just give half of what was recommended and it worked well that way. Some barrel racers over fed their horses as it is and adding the Red Cell really did fire them up, ha ha ha ha.. Now the track horses did really well on it, since they were running anyway. You just have to watch how much you give them, but many times horses should not need it if they have a good healthy diet.. me I would give less. But that was so long ago. BUTTTT if you want fire in your horse this will do it. |

Use it at home first! I gave it to a mare that had summer pasture COPD, started it about three days before a rodeo. Good news is, we won the rodeo! Bad news is that I couldn't stop her after the run. We bounced off of a couple of trucks, took out a lawn chair and barely missed an awning before I shut her down enough to step off in a clumsy, moving dismount. I guess she was not used to being able to breathe on the way home, I had no idea she was that congested. We made some headgear changes and all was good again. |
