I buy cheaper blankets but I like the Horze brand. Usually get them from chicks. The $50 one I bought lasted me 2 years, only reason why it ripped was because it got caught on something in his stall, I believe wood was sticking out. It's all fixed up now though so hopefully my new one will last longer than 2 years!

This is my newest Horze brand fleece cooler. I got it for $23.99 I absolutely love it for those nights that's it's still chilly but not freezing or trailer rides. I used it today after I had to hose him after our workout. It fit him perfectly! I thought it woukd seem cheaply made for the price but I'm really impressed! It's very nice.

Haha! I didnt even think about it, red white and blue ... I cant afford 4 pair of BOT wraps so I went back to my old school hunter jumper wrapping legs days..  quilts and bandages instead of absorbine I upgraded to sore no more liniment lol! I think we may have even just used rubbing alcohol back then. It had been a minute since I did that but it all came back to me once I got started. I actually kind of enjoyed it. Brought back some good memories. In fact I went back to good old fashioned polo wraps instead of boots too... they are the only thing that keeps this sand out. (I got a 4 pack of no bow quilts and 4 pack of bandages for $27 from Big Dee's) I love a bargain and a sale!

I SWEAR by these Big D SnowRidge 1200D. They are the only blankets I have had that last over a year. I have several that I have had for several years and we use them almsot 24/7 in the winter on turned out horses (small turnouts). I have NEVER had one soak through and they have had inches of rain with only trees for shelter sometimes. The best part is they are very affordable.

Best blanket/ sheet I've ever used, is Smart Pak Ultimate...on the third year now using it.

Totally rain/snow proof, and they'll replace it free in case it's ripped.

Classic Equine Cross Trainer blankets are absolutley amazing.  I've had some for 3-5 years and my horses are not easy on them! The 5K would probably be just right for you. That's what I use here in TX.
