I looked at the website and don’t see an ingredient list. For an almost 300.00 price tag for a 30 day supply there better be something very unique and proven in it. I will stick to my renew gold and forage based feeding program. Does the same thing for 30.00 a month.

Yes, it certainly has a steep price!

Bare with me because this will be long but I hope worth the read.

My horse is incredibly high anxiety, he's been this way since I got him at 3 and he's 8 now. Therefore, he's very ulcer prone and I've been battling ulcers with him for about 2 years now. I'd treat with omeprazole (and before someone tries to argue with me, yes I treated correctly, my mom is a vet and gets human grade omeprazole with a buffer, I dose for a 1000lb horse and break open the capsules, dose on an empty stomach since it's more effective, wean them off of it so they don't get the acid rebound, yada yada..) and try a preventative, keep alfalfa in front of him 24/7, double up on preventative when hauling, had him on magnesium and they would come back. I have a closet full of half used preventatives that didn't work; forco, gastroplex, vitamin e, alimend, aloe, suceed paste, you name it, I've probably tried it. But each time as soon as I'd stop the omeprazole, they'd come back. I will say I never had him scoped but I KNEW something was wrong - when he was on the omeprazole he'd be great, calm, quiet, ready to work. As soon as I'd take him off he'd be unusually spooky/sensitive and grind his teeth at the first sign of the saddle. I thought allergies could be the issue so got him allergy tested. Out of the 40-ish things they test for, he was "allergic" to 30-35 of them. And this just confirmed my suspicion that something was wrong. I posted his allergy test in hopes that someone else was in my shoes. According to the test he was allergic in some way to every forage known to man. Alfalfa being the one he was most allergic to. I was contacted by someone from Stride Animal Health about looking into hind gut ulcers and "leaky gut" since horses with an over active immune system tended to have allergy results like my horse. Watch Dr. Vandergrifts podcast from the BBR - it was very insightful and I found myself saying "holy crap that sounds like my horse" more than once. Poor hair coat, hard keeper, would leave his grain for hay, his manure always smelled funny/abnormal, even though my riding and his pattern had improved a lot, he wasn't firing as hard and we weren't clocking the way we had been, aversion to right sided cues due to inflammation of the dorsal colon that runs along the right side (about a year and a half ago we developed a first barrel issue, going to the right. I'd go to put my leg on his right side to bend his ribcage and he'd become panicked and run with his head like a giraffe. This horse is increbily broke, reject cutter for getting too tall, has over a year of cutting training. I did slow work for 6 months trying to correct it as he vet checked sound and I thought it was an anxiety thing. Ended up putting a tie down on him even though I didn't want to) and then the biggest red flag is he'd be great on omeprazole and then be terrible a few days after being off of it. I've tried so many different supplements and spent so much money on omeprazole that the $300 for their Immune Health program was pennies at this point. Only difference between the 21 day Hind Gut and the Immune Health is the additon of the Vitamin E/C combo.

Long story short if you didn't feel like reading all of that, I am pretty darn amazed. He's been on it the 30 days now and is a different horse. He's filled out and fat despite getting very little grain when previously he'd been on quite a lot. Firing harder and clocking better. He gets so excited to go in the gate now. He'd never refuse before but he's got that extra pep in his step now, you can tell he WANTS to work. I'll attach some photos a couple weeks before we started and then from a week ago. They're not in the exact same position and he has shed out (he was shaved for our trip to AZ) but you can see he's filled in quite a lot in just a month.

Side note: My guy is also super picky and refused to eat it so I've had to syringe it to him twice a day which may be something you have to do too. Although when you're spending $10 a day on it, it's nice to know he's getting every last drop. If you have any questions or something isn't clear, let me know.

It is similar to Succeed plus some. Idk if you've looked at the price tag on Succeed but it's about the same, if not more and people swear by it. I can get you the ingredient list if you're skeptical, I was decently impressed with it. It's a pretty intense program, you start out with so many scoops per day and a tube of the ADR paste morning and night, continue that for so many days and then drop it down. Plus if you talk to Stride and describe your symptoms they will help you and cater to your individual horses needs.

Thanks so much for your reply, I appreciate all the information you offered. Best of luck to you and your horse, and happy that you got to the bottom of his issues, and found something that actually works for you.

If I have a hind gut issue, I'll get with my vet about Sucralfate. Then I like to use Succeed VF (Veterinary Formula) paste for continued maintenance. I don't have price handy but, I know I don't pay $300 a month for it. I've also used the Succeed Fecal test (avail from vets) for periodic testing with success.

Iam happy to see this I was planning to try it. I have a mare who struggled last year then had a very bad flare this winter and was in so much pain. I did 8 weeks of gastrogard  4 weeks at a low dose while we waiting to be able to scope . She was so inflamed even after that. Then treated for 30 days. She has so good after and riding well but after a short time off meds I saw the behavior coming back and now she is a complete terror to ride. I knew when I took her off meds with no good  support after I would probably have problems and sure enough I do. I hope this will help.

I am thinking about ordering....who has used it? Looking for input  on how it worked for them. TIA.

I was told to do the 21 day program then go with lifeline plasma product or the calm gut if I had serious problems. After doing research on it is showing a lot of promise. Iam going to try it. I have a mare who is really struggling even after treatment with meds. I saw someone saw there is no ingredient list but there is. If you have not listened to the podcast it is very informative.

I started my mare on the Lifeline Plus 2 weeks ago and what a difference it has made. Even my husband asked me what I had done different this past weekend. We hauled 5 hrs, made 5 runs in 3 days and we got faster every run. Ended up in the 2D at a very tough race monday. She was more relaxed being in a stall, hauled alot and asked for alot. We went to BBR in April and she was a wreck. It as after that listening to the Married with Horses podcast about Leaky Gut and talking to Jyme about her that I decided to give it a try. She will stay on it!

So instead of doing the 21 day treatment plan, you decided to just go with the Lifeline Plus? Congrats on having great runs!!!

I’m currently trying the 21 day deal on one of mine. Stay tuned! I’m a big fan of Blue Bonnet and stride is a BB related company. They put a lot of research into their products- I think the best is yet to come and I am excited about this product as a veterinarian.

There’s a Married With Horses podcast specifically about this program! It was very informative and went into a lot of detail about it!

Took a few days of half dosing to get my horse to eat it, but now that he is used to it he gobbles it down AND licks his feed trough after.

Does anyone have the dosage card handy for this. I can't find ours and we re-ordered off of Chewy & it didn't come with it.

It is an amazing product. I have used it personally and have had customers use it. I saw great results. It includes ADR and Fish Oil Factor. You can look up those products on Strideanimalhealth.com

I also keep mine on the Lifeline all the time.
