| I bought a gallon at Sams and then a smaller bottle to keep in the vehicle. Remember hand sanitizer is good if that is what you have but NOTHING is better than soap and water. |

| I keep travel sizes in my purse, gym bag which doubles as my baseball mom backpack, in my glove box and center console in my pickup. I use it a lot... after shopping, pumping diesel, and after using the restroom even after washing my hands! Typical baseball park bathrooms rarely have hot water and enough soap! I've got a few gallon refill jugs at home I keep and refill my little travel sizes |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I just wash my hands really good when I come home from town, have always done this even befor the Coronavirus, I try to keep hand/baby wipes to wipe my hands after getting diesel fuel. Hand Sanitizer stings since my hands stay so banged up from doing whatever out here, always fixing a fence here and there or planting, I always nick my hands on something, lol. |

I read the container. I would say that it may very from one brand to the next. Nothing beats soap and water. Never hurts to disinfect cell phone and steering wheel. |

I have a bottle of Purell that's been sitting on my desk for a year. On the front it says "kills 99.99% of most illness causing germs". It also says "made with plant based alcohol" which might mean a bottle of rubbing alcohol could do the same as the Purell. What I heard from tv doctors was that it really doesn't do that much to fend off germs. First two ingredients are water and alcohol.....many of the rest of the ingredients appear to be oils and scents.

They also say the face masks don't do anyting at all but the manufacturers are sure making some nice $ off of them. And whatever you choose to do, sanitizer/alcohol, you have to do it consistently, not just like 1x a day. Chances are by the time you touched a door or whatever that is infected, and you put sanitizer on 5 minutes later, you're already toast. If you touch a door an hour after you sanitized, you're still toast. I say just wash your hands with soap & take your chances |

I also read where hand lotion is a great germ picker-upper. Wash your hands a lot, hands get super dry. Vicious circle. |

| FLITASTIC - 2020-03-02 4:23 PM And everyone realizes that there is 10X more people dying from simple flu than coronavirus? Yep. I've been using hand sanitizer waaaaay before coronavirus became a hot topic. I'm rarely RARELY sick... not giving all the credit to hand sanitizer, but just using good hygiene in general and eating healthy, lots of water and exercise. Lets be realistic... how many people do you witness walk out from using the restroom NOT washing their hands... I see it alot... people are gross. After I use a public restroom I wash my hands and then when i get done i use hand sanitizer... it's just part of my routine. It makes me feel better. My hubby is a truck driver and he tells me more than half the dudes dont wash their hands after using the restroom at truck stops.. he also keeps hand sanitizer in his truck to use. Edited to add.. I'm one of those people that use a paper towel to let myself out of the restroom after washing my hands. door handles absolutely freak me out.... I'd rather pick up a fresh pile of horse poop with my bare hands than touch a public door handle lol!

This sounds like Chandler!! He's freaky about germs!!! He will farm all day, work on equipment, and fool with the horses and their bodily fluids/functions. But he will wash and sanitize several times after leaving public places. And he told LB they were calling off the honeymoon because of the coronavirus . . . . |

Location: Kansas | Pretty lady doctor on FOX this morning said washing your hands has to be a 20 second process to do it right. She also said hand sanitizers will kill the germs on your hands but you then have dead germs on your hands so you then need to wash your hands. Gads !!! |

I'm like you. I always get extra paper towels to open a public restroom door or any door other than my own at home. Hubby read that in order for the hand sanitizer to work, you need to pour a good amount on your hands, meaning your hands need to wet a paper towel with sanitizer. I carry a bottle in my purse & I just bought wipes so will have them in our vehicles. I really think that us people who live in the country & don't go to town alot & aren't around alot of people, like a mall, etc will be healthier that people who live in town & are always around alot of people. Me, I don't like crowds & avoid them, except a barrel race. Those crowds are fine with me :) |

My friend is a barber and was supposed to go to the nursing home Tuesday to cut hair, but they told her not to come back until they called her. No "outsiders" were allowed. |
