These are longer times than is customarily quoted.  I thought this might be useful.

Interesting and quite honestly,  frightening. I've been wiping everything in my house about every other day.. door handles, cabinets, fridge, freezers, all light switches, remotes and I have the kids wipe down their game controllers and head phones ... its exhausting, but needs to be done. Even though we dont go out in public ... maybe overkill?  Really the only one who goes out in public anymore is my husband for work.. he wears gloves at his stops and deliveries.. hand sanitizer after each visit and wipes his trucks steering wheels and door handles. After I handle the mail or delivered packages or putting away groceries I wash my hands and wipe counters again. Again, maybe overkill...I drove to TSC today with my husband to get some supplies for our chickens and more mud boots.. it's really the first time I've actually gone inside a store in a while.. it was pretty empty .. but they had an employee at the door with sanitizer cleaning carts for people to take in. He wiped one down for us. We got in and got out quickly and he came and got the cart and sprayed it down again. I like that.. being proactive I appreciate the extras all my stores are doing to try to help protect the customers. 

It's a crazy world.

Honestly a person can drive himself nuts if you think too much about it.  I just think it's going to take a lot of adaptation.  Just the idea that shaking hands might be a thing of the past is a little too crazy for me.  
What a nightmare.  I just keep trying to tell myself that there will be silver linings.  

There is a silver lining. 

A Dystopian Society 

And I'm a hugger, when I like the person I give hugs when I see them, just really hard not doing the things that come natural to us. And hand shaking is the normal greeting of the America man or women, so going be really hard to break that habit. 

When I went to my Dermatologist a couple of months ago he had signs hanging on all his doors " No Hand Shaking at this time due to the Cornovirus" so I gave him a elbow bump instead, he liked that.. LOL 

It sure looks that way....post apocalyptic.  We're seeing in real time a world in which so many things could go wrong.  Orwellian.  

I wouldn't call that a silver lining though.  The "silver lining" would be that we get an opportunity to learn from this and make some big adjustments.  It remains to be seen whether we get that opportunity, and whether we learn some huge lessons.

I haven't been watching anything on tv related to the virus until the last 4 or 5 days.  Now I watch the news A LOT at night.  Sean told me night before last that it wasn't good for my health--he may be right. . . 

I'm a hugger, too, Miss Roxie.  And it is hard to not hug or touch like I'm use to.  (One of our friends has leukemia, and he taught us all about the elbow bump last year.)   What a different world we live in now.
