Psalm 110:1-7. The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand, till I make Your enemies your footstool.' The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule the midst of your enemies!  Your people shall be volunteers in the day of Your power; in the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your Youth.  The Lord has sworn and will not relent, "You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek". The Lord IS at your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath. He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the head of many countries. He shall drink of the book by the wayside; Therefore He shall lift up the head.  This psalm of David's is a prophetic proclamation regarding the reign of Christ it is a piece that has been cited by generations as a profound prediction of the divinity of Christ. That fact alone puts this passage in a very unique place. David was inspired to write something through the work of God's Spirit inside him and his cooperation has inspired generations. Do NOT discount the signifance of your OWN OBEDIENCE to Christ. LIVE LIFE so those who know you but don't know God will come to know God because they know you...

Melchizedek must have been a great man unto the Lord to have the "Higher Priesthood" to be named after him as the Order of Melchizedek.  Even the Lord during his earthly ministry, his Priesthood was after the Order of Melchizedek.

The Levitical Priesthood" Lower Priesthood" was after the Order of Aaron.  Christ introduced a Higher Law therefore when He organized His church on the earth he gave the Higher Priesthood to his Apostles after the Order of Melchizedec

Hebrews Chapter 5:

6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a ^apriest ^bfor ever after the order of ^cMelchisedec.

10 ^aCalled of God an ^bhigh priest after the order of Melchisedec

Hebrews 7:

11 If therefore ^aperfection were by the ^bLevitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

12 For the ^apriesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
