Have a horse with partial paralysis of one side of his flapper.  Tie back surgery hasn't been successful because of too march scar tissue.  Have had both vocal cords removed.  Has anyone else had this done and was it successful with their breathing improving?

Mine had one of his vocal cords cautaruized several years ago.  It made his airway huge.  He's a bleeder.  We hoped this would prevent him

from bleeding.  He doesn't tolerate lasix well.  Unfortunately, he continued to bleed and has not run in over 2 years.

I'm currently legging him up. Vets say after that much time off he may not bleed again.  We'll see.
