Yes, sometimes God is seen as so distant that we expect Him to only lead us in mysterious otherworldly ways. As a result, we think God is out of touch, unable to understand us and care about what we are experiencing. But the exact opposite is true. For instance, in this section of Ecclesiastes 10:8-15, God warns off falling into pits, being bitten by snakes when breaking through walls, and the dangers of splitting Word. These are very practical and life saving warnings.  V8 He who digs a pit will fall into it, and whoever breaks through a wall will be bitten by a serpent. He who quarries stones may be hurt by them, and he who splits wood may be endangered by it. If the ax is dull, and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but wisdom brings success. A serpent may bite when it is not charmed; the babble is not different. The word of a wise man's mouth are gracious, but the lips of a fool shall swallow him up; the word of his mouth begain with foolishness, and the end of his talk is raving madness. A fool also multiplies words. No man knows what is to be; who can tell him what will be after him? The labor of fools wearies them, for they do not know even how to go to the city.   What is exciting fo us is that God is just as concerned about the this that matter to us today as He was about the problems of those who lived thousand of years ago. Obviously, God want us to know how to LIVE successfully by SEEKIING, RECOGNIZING,and RECEIVING His wisdom, at the same time, He warns us to reject the advise that comes from the raving madness of foolish men and women who are always talking but do not know where they are going or how to get there. This is a GREAT CHALLENGE, especially at a time when there are so many competing voices vying for our attention and loyalty. In the end, God warns that NO human knows what the future holds. It is a knowledge He has reserved for Himself. But He promises that in real, every day practical life He will reveal His GREAT WISDOM to those who will FOLLOW Him and that wisdom will bring success. As a result, we can KNOW HOW TO LIVE and NOT fall into a pit or be bitten by a snake. For it is WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE  Matthew 19:26 Father God, guide me today to do all things that will bring glory and honor to You AMEN
