| Hi! Does anyone know where I can order Renew Gold that maybe does free shipping over a certain dollar amount? Smartpak is all I have found but they price it $20 higher than TSC... just wanted to see if anyone knew of another retailer before I drive to a TSC. does anyone recommend a good feed regimen including renew gold? The hay I have access too is usually brome or orchard depending on who I can get it from, so I was going to switch my horses to renew gold, alfalfa pellets and then free choice grass hay, with possibly dac oil. Would I need any vitamin or mineral supplements? I have been interested in the Purina 12:12 block but wasn't sure if it would be necessary. Not even sure if the dac oil would be needed. I'm just used to feeding Strategy, and a lot more of it than what you feed renew gold! |
Location: Central Florida | I feed Renew Gold with Timothy Pellets and Dac Oil. I add the DAC oil to get her supplements to stick. I am so glad I made the switch to Renew Gold I love the results. My mare can't tolerate alfalfa as why she gets the timothy pellets. I do add DAC Orange Superior as a vitamin/mineral supplement. My mare has some health concerns so needs a certain dosage daily. She also is on good grass pasture and gets timothy/orchard hay while in her stall during the day. We only stall about 5 hours a day during our hottest hours. I'm down here in sunny hot florida.

Location: Willows, CA | Using Renew Gold is very straight forward. The goal is the elimination of both grain and soy from the horses diet. Doing this takes digestive road blocks out of the system, allowing natural effeciency to return. The result is much more complete digestion of the roughage portion of the diet, whether it is hay, pellets, cubes or pasture. Capturing the calories in the roughage more completely, rather than have them end up on the ground behind the horse, means that a large feed concentrate amount is not needed. This is why the feed rates of Renew Gold are so low compared to conventional grain based feed. With good hay and or pasture, I add 1/2 pound of Renew Gold per day for each job that the horse does. A mature horse being ridden is doing two jobs, living and working, so the feed rate would be one pound per day. If that same situation was a young horse still growing, that is three jobs, so one and one half pound per day. Weight gain can be a job, high work load can be a job. When the job ends, like weight gain, the one half pound that it represents comes back out of the diet. Most horses are doing two to three jobs, so one pound to one and one half pound is the typical rate. Fat soluble vitamins are covered, and a horse with a proper functioning hind gut makes their own water soluble vitamins. If your area has a mineral defficiency, that should be addressed. Most people who feed Renew Gold do not add a vit / min package, but, if it makes you feel better or your hay is poor there is no damage to do so. Since we are relying on better digestion of the main foundation of the diet, the roughage, it is very important that teeth are up to date so the horse can comfortably chew, and parasite control is current. This program is simple and very cost effective compared to conventional feed programs, plus it works because that is how the horses body actually works. Win |

| I am really struggling with all my horses now that I can't get Renew Gold (Canadian.) I'm having to revert back to omeprazole and supplements that I was completely done with while they were on Renew Gold. Win, if you could only get approved in Canada, I would jump for joy!! Or..... if the border ever reopens |
