Because that would be political suicide in Democrat circles.  Just like proud displays of the Stars and Stripes at a Democrat convention would be incendiary to too many attendees.  It would be like showing the sunrise to a vampire.  They would immediately self-incinerate into a pile of ashes.  

The Pledge Allegiance has the beautiful line "One Nation Under God Indivisible With Liberty and Justice For All".

 Dems are having meetings where they deliberately leave out the Under God part.  I witnessed this from a soundbite on FOX.  They would never show it on liberal media.  Too many plain folks out there would not like it.

It's OK, jd&ez, I think I would begin to lose my mind too, were I in your shoes.  
Joe is shot...kaput.  His cognitive decline isn't really in doubt to most voters.  He can't remember sh!t.  He struggles to find sentences, or even words ("expressive aphasia").  He exhibits emotional lability (telling voters they are "full of sh!t", challenging men to push-up contests or even fights, and calling a voter a bizarre name like "lying dog faced pony soldier").  He repeats phrases over and over like "Come on, man!" - called "echolalia" in psychology parlance.  Evidence of dementia isn't even denied by increasing numbers of Democrats. There's a reason why he has been ensconced in his basement.....until the last couple days.  It's because his support is dropping like a rock.  Now, within the Obamunist party, the dilemma is whether Joe will debate Trump.  If he does, Trump will blow him away.  If he doesn't, then they will have to come up with a pretense.  Topping that list is "Trump is a liar".  I suppose that's as good as any.  After all, Trump has exaggerated and embellished....surely something heretofore unseen in American politics.  But the fact of the matter is that Trump has delivered on his promises like no other president in my lifetime.  When it comes down to what really matters is that voters are all aware of his agenda when he was elected, and they are aware of the fact that he delivered on his promises.  
Presidential elections aren't won purely on the basis of what a candidate opposes....they are won on a candidate's likelihood of delivering on his agenda.  You can't simply be AGAINST something.  You have to be FOR something.  Oh Biden has told us what he is for:

1. Raising taxes - including raising capital gains tax to 40% ( his words), and raising corporate taxes up to 28% (again his words).

2. Green New Deal - enuf said

3. Banning fracking (Pennsylvania, Texas, and ND will love that one)

4. Establishing the pre-Trump status quo with China

5. Moving funds earmarked for police over to "community-based" policing with social workers and mental health professionals ....I bet the Antifa/BLM crowd will love that one.

6. Gun control, using his gun control czar, Beto O'Rourke, who will confiscate AR15's, among other things.

7. An immediate "national mask mandate" - that should go over like a fart in church.

8. A promise of a national shutdown, if Covid19 re-emerges, ( "if that's what science tells me to do").

Of course, if Biden refuses to debate Trump, that would be manna from heaven for the Trump campaign.

I am going to make a prediction! Biden will mysteriously  come down with Covid so he doesn't have to debate Trump when it is time. He will then hide until it's over and then be "free" of the Covid. Jus Sayin!

Biden is in a real pickle. If he debates Trump he will do very poorly, given his state of cognitive decline. If he refuses to debate, regardless of the pretense, that would be the death knell of his campaign. His poll numbers are plummeting, partly because of the strange DNC and partly because the RNC was so impressive.The good news, as far as Democrats are concerned, is that 2 months is a long time in election season. They have time to create a crisis that has the appearance of Trump’s making. Maybe he’s a member of a satanic cult, or maybe they’ll try another Russia collusion hoax, or maybe his tax returns will expose that he was worth only $3.5 billion when he took office rather than 3.9 billion.

Maybe the DNC has a tiny micro speaker implanted in Joe’s inner ear and the real reason he has been in the basement is that he’s being trained on responding to questions with the aid of this device.

What I can’t understand is the bizarre announcement last Thursday that Joe will now forget the “science” and hit the campaign trail, starting with the Democratic stronghold of Minnesota. That is a worrisome sign for Democrats…..and not only that, but he will begin his rallies in TEN DAYS. Ten days? Oof
