| Well it looks like I am going to be moving from MT to the Tulsa area in January - I'm so excited, but am looking for guidance. I currenlty have property with my horses at home in MT, but I'm not sure how it is going to look down there. Any recommendations for places to board (or not if you want to pm me LOL) - I have one PSSM mare that I have to keep a pretty close eye on, but otherwise I'm really easy/NO drama. I will be looking to purchase a place as well, but it will probably be closer to the summer once I get to know the area. Any suggestions on where to look for property and where to avoid is great. I'm fine with driving up to an hour or so from town to live or board - that's what I do now Really any advice is welcome! |

Location: Claremore, OK | I live about 30 miles northeast of Tulsa (Claremore). Haskell, Glenpool, Beggs area all are really horse friendly.
Lazy D Ranch in Sapulpa has full care boarding , nice place, good people and they have lots of barrel races there.

Location: Tulsa, Ok | Any of the town's adjacent to Tulsa, in any direction, will be pretty horse friendly. You will be able to find barrel races most every day of the week year round. |

Location: Oklahoma | If you are looking to rent, there are a TON of horse ready rental properties around the Tulsa area. Maybe hit up a realtor to help you out on nailing them down. |

Location: Oklahoma | Oklahoma is great! I live bout 45 mins south of Tulsa. If you find property and you love it dont wait around you better snatch it up. Land is going really high right now bc most are moving from out of state! We are getting people that are growers. and some that are wanting to get out of bad area. We have a lot coming from California. Land in the rural areas are going really fast and the price of land has double or tripled! and some even more than that! So dont wait on finding a place! Good luck! |
