I went in another TSC in another town searching for shavings with my daughter, I had put a large bag of chick feed into my basket and an employee came up and asked if we had a lot of chicks.. we said yes and she took out the tiniest chick I had ever seen and begged us to take it and try to save it. I said no way.. but my daughter took it lol! Long story short,  we left with 5 more banty chicks that I absolutely didn't need. I've pulled out all my tricks for saving a weak chick, the poor thing is trying to start drinking on its own and pecking at some crushed up feed. But still not out of the woods. 50/50 it makes it.  Sigh.... these banties are really cute though, I'll admit that.

Now that was really hard to resist, I would have done the same thing. I noticed that the TSC was getting ready for chicks here to.. I hope I can resist the temptation, I do have some chicks on order but it will be June before I get them..

They had some really cool breeds available... the blue laced red wyndottes and blue australorps were hard to pass on but I managed lol! I have 1 bantam that's been broody since last month it seems... we call her cool whip ... she's a mess! I hope this little peanut pulls thru ...

The little weak one is slowly getting better ... not falling over anymore and can walk around pretty good.  I don't wanna get my hopes up too high. But it does look much better standing up more straight. And I got a shot of one of the others .. dang so cute. I fessed up to my husband and he laughed and asked why I didn't get more... can you say enabler!!!

Awwww the little Peanut is such a cutie!!!! I have high hopes that this little tiny baby will make it.. I'm betting the heat lamp will make a big different in how she/he feels, and not getting pushed around for feed is a big help too.

My friend and I already have our list of chicks we want from bomgaars this spring lol. We have to go together so we can meet the minimum each week we want to go lol

Adorable!! thank you for trying to save it. My TSC had easter eggers the other day and it was difficult not to bring any home after my shift. We werent supposed to get any this week because of the weather in the midwest but we got some wed.

Well we lost 2 overnight. I was thinking they were getting better drinking and eating on their own. Bummer... at least they didn't get trampled to death. Those bantams are so fragile anyway... shipping is hard too. I canceled my last order after our snow storm. The brown one I posted survived and the other 2 are looking real good. We tried our best but sometimes it just happens. I'm not bashing TSC, especially that particular TSC because the gal that gave us those was genuinely concerned for them... but I know when I get chicks in from shipping we work fast and are diligent about getting them dipped so they begin drinking immediately, I also use a product called chick boost in the first 48 hours  and we have the brooders pre warmed as well... not sure what tsc policy is on freshly shipped chicks .. its a lot of work, especially with as many as they get in at once.  I was sure hoping I could have saved those 2 ...
