While visiting Kenosha, Biden's speech aimed at addressing racial unrest veered into talking about inequities in taxes at one point. He stopped himself from laying out his tax policy in detail, saying if he goes on any longer "they'll shoot me."

Yes he said this.

Well if by some off chance that he ends up winning he might just be right!  They'll do away with him so they can get her in office and somehow get killary in there too.

Sat in on a Tax Prep seminar that was aimed at being ready if Biden wins.

Cliff notes.

If Biden wins and you are a wealthy person who is about to die, buy tax free crap for your kids. And give away everything you can.

One special mention was forgiven debt to future generations, I’ll need to read up on that

And if you are high income and about to sell, do it now. If your income, including the capital gain is north of 1mm you will pay regular income not cg on the sale

There will be an automatic step up in COst base on assets passed, no longer keeping the original cb. Estate will pay cg on all assets, even if not sold.

Minimum 15% corporate tax rate on any Corp over 1mm book. So all the dot.com’s going to pay now.

Not much effects very many.
But it will destroy small family businesses and cut way back on generational wealth

I remember when Trump cut payroll taxes.  I found $80 extra a month in my take home pay.  But at work I heard Dem co-workers complaining that it was no big deal.  They would have complained if it had been an extra $2000 a month.  They were welcome to give it back.

Interesting, and it should pis$ off a lot of people, including the middle class.
Trump's tax plan raised the threshold for taxation of inherited wealth from $5 million to $11 million.  Biden wants to knock it back down to $5 million. Now $5 million sounds like a lot, and it is, but when you are talking about a family business or a farm, or ranch, it really isn't that much, especially when you look at land values in a lot of areas.  You don't have to own a ton of land to be worth $5 million.  In some areas of Iowa where land is 10K an acre, that amounts to 500 acres.  That's not a very big farm.  If someone inherits much over 500 acres, most don't have that kind of money laying around to pay the tax, so that forces them to sell the family farm to pay the inheritance tax.  Now someone tell me how Biden's tax plan helps the little guy.  Tell that to the young people struggling just to keep going with the family farm they are set to inherit.  This all get's scooped up by wealthy people and corporate operations.  Around this area I've heard of land selling for $25k an acre over by LaGrange. It commonly sells for $15k an acre around our place.  Same thing for small business. There are a lot of small businesses worth a hell of a lot more than $5 million where the owners are generating decent income but not huge incomes.  They are employing a lot of people and often times they are just keeping their heads above water.
If the kids want to continue that family business and they inherit it, a lot more will be forced to sell it off just to pay the tax.
Bidens said every single solitary person, their capital gains are going to be treated like real income and they are going to pay 40 percent on their capital gains tax.  Yes, that's what he said.  He used the words "every single solitary person".  Again, how does that help the middle class?  Even if he walks it back and says it applies only to cap gains over $1 million, that will hurt a lot of people.

Anyway, 1D, this news tells me we can expect a lot of market volatility for the next 2 months....mainly profit taking and sell offs.  The silver lining there is that we might see a big surge if Trump wins.

When Trump wins ( ANd I sure hope he does), there will be mass rioting in the streets. I'm in CA, Los Angeles just laid off 15,000 city employees but is still handing out Billions in free money to anyone who wants it. Trying to Buy votes at its best.

OK, let's play this guy the GOP'ers love. He may have said something stupid but impeached president trump said to put an ultraviolet light up your ass. Impeached president trump said he witnessed thosands of Muslims cheering on 9-11.

See, it makes it all OK when someone says something dumb as long as his opponent did too.

Isn't this a fun game?? It is a game isn't it? You right wingers aren't being serious when that's the only argument you have?

But while you're making fun of Biden consider this, why are Trump and Putin so scared of Biden that trump bribed a foreign country to dig up dirt on him?

its a great game i show you mine  proof you show me urs

(CNN)On Thursday, presidential candidate Joe Biden claimed that a Black man had invented the light bulb, not "a White guy named Edison."

Biden was at a community meeting in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the site of the recent police shooting of Jacob Blake. He was addressing the ways in which Black Americans are stripped from American history and aren't discussed in schools.
The thing is, though, his facts were a little off. As far as we know, Edison did invent the light bulb, but a Black inventor named Lewis Latimer actually made it better and more accessible.
Here's how it went down.
now had he said thoas invented but lamier madeit better  that would have been acurate

Speaking of lies, let's examine a few that were consequential from our last Obamunist president, shall we?

1.) "This plan (the ACA) will save the average American $250 per month in monthly health insurance premiums."

2.) "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor."

3.) "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan...period!"

Does the name Jonathan Gruber ring a bell to you?  I am guessing no.  He was the MIT grad who gloated over their pulling off the ACA through the "lack of transparency" and "stupid American voters".  He was caught on video saying these kinds of things.

Those were huge, consequential lies.
