I have seen a lot of talk about osteopaths and releasing the fascia on social media. I am oblivious to these terms! Can someone who has more knowledge and experience than me please explain them more in depth? Turns out Google and Facebook do not explain very well either! Thank you!

Fascia is thin, fiberous tissue around muscle.  (Think the white stuff between chicken skin and the meat). That tissue has to maintain a certain flexibility or it can restrict movement.  I experienced this after knee replacement surgery.  The facia was "locked down" over my knee and loosening that tissue up was one part of my PT.
