Location: Jersey Girl | Has anyone fed this or feed this? My mare is not picky at all and I'm having a tough time getting her to eat it. She gets fed once a day and the amount of product to be fed is a lot IMO, esp when your horse doesn't like it. How are you getting yours to eat it?? |

Location: Rc | I've never tried DAC Smart Gut, but I would try soaking the feed a little or adding aloe vera juice. That's how I get all my horses to eat any powder supplements.

This is not a powdered supplement. It is tiny, stinky pellets lol |

| Seems to be a consistent issue with a handful of their products. I had a few refuse their orange superior and DDA digestive aid supplements and also the cool gut. I think they are really good products but what good are they if the horse wont eat them. I was told to use an oz of dac oil to encourage them to eat but didn't really want the extra fats added in. Now they all loved LOVED the DAC oil. |

When I called the company about the issue that was one of the things they suggested. I don't want and/or need the extra fat either. My horse def doesn't need it. |

I looked them up. What product? They don't seem to have anything for ulcers (unless I missed it) |

It's basically prebiotics instead of probiotics. My horse is a nervous horse/ulcer prone and this product has been the best in my opinion to help his belly. He actually has been able to be in the barn by himself and tied up by himself without throwing a total fit. Also very nice and shiny coat and better appearence overall. I had a couple people that didn't even recognize him since it helped him fill out some and have a very healthy coat. :) Also very very affordable! https://www.dynamitespecialty.com/prebiotics-vs-probiotics-need-animal/ I attached a link that explains why they go with prebiotics instead of probiotics. In my opinion it is just so affordable and I have had great results so I tell everyone it's worth a shot. If your horse already has ulcers I of course recommend treating him/her first but this is a great supplement to help prevent. I don't think they have a product to treat existing ulcers. as I believe there is no supplement you can buy to treat but I would definitely give dynapro to help prevent instead of the DAC from my experiences. |

| I really wish Dynamite wasnt a MLM based company. They do have some decent products. I've used the Dynapro and it's almost seems impossible that such a tiny amount would be effective. I've also tried a few other products but the cost was getting astronomical unless I signed up to sell it myself. Course that was several SEVERAL years ago so maybe its changed a bit. |

How much did you use? I only give a teaspoon or 1.25 teaspoon and I've had great results. :) One bottle is about $40 and it lasts my one horse about 3 months. |

| They had a pump with it when I tried it and I just used 1 squirt. 1x a day. I don't know if it worked or not to be honest. It certainly didnt make my horse any worse. I used the miracle clay a lot too. Got talked into all the different salts or loose minerals ... my horse didnt touch a single one of them. I tried the dynamite vitamin mineral as well on my horse. But was advised to not feed it with any fortified grain so I just used some oats .. I think I was feeding him like 1oz of it a day .. I did not care for it after a while. He just didnt look that good on it. But I do keep a bottle of their electrolytes on hand Dyna spark I think it's called. My horse loves it. |

Location: Opelousas, LA | I tried it and had the same problem, mine are racehorses that get a lot of feed and they wouldn't touch it. I have had better luck with Outlast and Lifeline, using both together is expensive but it's working good so far. |

Hmm yeah I don't feed the loose minerals, I use the dynapro and am now usuing dynahoof and so far I have good results but of course things don't work with every horse. :) It is too expensive for me to do their recommended program. My horse won't eat free choice anyways. |

| Glad I'm not the only one who had problems getting their horse to eat this stuff. I was having so much trouble I was about to just give up, but I'll give it another chance. If only they could just tell me exactly what they wanted to eat, a la https://cowgirlu.org/if-horses-could-talk/ LOL
