Location: Gainesville, TX | Hello everyone, I posted a few weeks ago in one of my groups looking for a list of people to interview for an academic article over the current state of barrel racing and likely futures. I got a great list and have conducted several interviews (with a few to go) for a paper I am researching to write in December. Just a reminder that I am a professor at Grayson College and do publish and present nonprofit academic research on horses to a global audience. If anyone wants verification of my credentials, they are easily provided. ?? Now I want to hear from you! I would love to develop a portrait of who barrel racers are as a group and what their opinions are on a wide variety of things affecting our industry. I’d like to do this in a few surveys, starting with basic demographics, things concerning gender and geography to how many horses people own and how far you travel to barrel races, etc. Most questions in the survey offer an option like “prefer not to say” if its just too personal. I ask for emails too as I will send out the other opinion surveys over things like barrel tack and equipment, breeding and incentives, drug testing and regulations, and possible futures for barrel racing to anyone who takes this first survey. So if you would like people to know your opinions on matters and who barrel racers are and what they care about, take this survey! This first survey is around 30 questions, nearly all multiple choice, and shouldn’t take a long time to finish as most can be answered in just a few seconds. I keep your personal information like email (that no one will get access to but me unless you give permission and none of your information will be shared with advertisers) but will share the average results separate from anyone’s personal information in some charts later! I’m sure everyone is curious about some of this information and this is a chance for us to find out who barrel racers are and what they care about. ?? https://forms.gle/HtKvP5ahpHTJRg8P9
