| Father God, guide me today to do all things that will bring glory and honor to You AMEN ?? Mark 1:35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and depart4ed to a solitary place; and there He prayerd. Among the many good reasons we sholdd pray is that the Lord Jesus knows better than we do what we really need. Prayer makes God real to us. It is how we communicate with Him. Just as the Bible gives our prayer direction, prayer brings a new dynamic to our Bible reading: God speaks to us through His Word. And we speak to Him through our prayer. Prayer is like a symphon; the Bible is the score, the Holy Spirit is the conductor, and we are the instruments. As we read God's Word, the Holy Spirit leads us in our prayer life, and we actually begin to pray the Scripture for ourselves and for others. Another reason we should pray is because Jesus prayed. If He who NEVER sinned saw the need to pray so often, how much more do we , sinful as we are, need to call upon Him? Prayer has a way of setting us free, giving us peace of mind. We are a needy people, and one of the GREATEST NECESSITIES is to pray. Since we rind Christ Himsefl praying so frequently and fervently, how much more do we need to do likewise? Pray without ceasing Lord, as I read Your word today, put people and deeds into my ind for whom and which I need to pray. In Jesus MIGHTY NAME AMEN for it is WITH God ALL things ARE Possible Matthew 19:26 |
