I'm hoping to begin trailer shopping next year and I'd like a 3 horse with a small LQ (bed, toilet - basic stuff). I'm completely clueless on these matters. This. ^^ You might get around 10K with a Gooseneck hitch, but I wouldn't push it too far. The trailer's GVWR is what you will look at when purchasing. So for this pic, the trailer GVWR is 5909, which means your truck could pull it.

Location: Montgomery TX | You can go to the RAM website and put in your VIN number and it will tell you how much your truck can tow. That's what I did. |

| Yes, your total is 9500 pounds. Your truck can haul the 3300 passengers and in the bed total. Hope that makes sense. Any standard gooseneck today is going to have 7k pound axles and be at 14,000 loaded. The biggest reason to make sure your within your limits is INSURANCE. If you are in an accident, your fault or not, and outside your ratings, not good. |
