Location: Missouri | Would you purchase a clean 1 owner extended cab in the make/model/engine etc you're looking for if the price was right? We are starting to shop for a new to us truck and I essentially found what I am looking for, but it is an extended cab, not a crew cab. We do have 2 kids in carseats (although one of them could be moved to a booster) so my husband is on the fence about considering it, but the price point is very comfortable for us and I so I don't want to cross it off the list just yet. |

| I personally wouldn't have anything but a crew cab. But if the price is right and the car seats fit it might be worth considering. |

Location: in the ozone | I'm another vote for crewcab - I've had 2 club cabs in the past 30 years and while they did the job, I prefer the crew cabs. If you don't think the kids would outgrow the club cab before you'd want to switch again, then I'd consider it though if it has everything else you like. |

Location: Slipping down the slope of old age. Boo hoo. | I totally hated the extended cab I had for several years. Hated it. It's really, IMO, not a usable space other than just a place to pile up stuff. Not suitable/comfortable for any size person(s). Crew cab all the way!!!! |

Location: Missouri | Thanks all. We have a crew cab now and love it. We are just past the point of big bulky carseats now that both kids face forward and one is almost ready for a booster. We have never used our truck as a daily driver...just to barrel races and to haul stuff so they wouldn't be in it that much. Trucks are just so dang expensive anymore and I saw this...one owner, clean as a whistle and thought ok it's not fancy but it is the engine we are looking for and the price point is fantastic. Ugh. I hate truck shopping. |

Location: CTX | We don't have any kids at home, it's just me and the hubster but I love our crew cabs! Would not want any smaller. Just to be able to put groceries or other stuff in there when raining is nice. Also, the dog has more room this way. Bonus is that my backseat flips up to leave a level floor. (The husbands truck does not, but still the extra room is nice to have.) And it's much easier if you have people riding with you to get in and out. |

If they are in carseats, my extended cab Chevy 1500 barely fits them and the front seats have to be dang near all the way up which is very uncomfortable (and probably unsafe) for the front passengers. If they are in boosters, there would be enough room for them but not much |

We decided to think on it...if it us still available in a week or two we may go look at it and put carseats in to see. I wouldn't worry about 1 child as we could put his seat in the middle and he is relatively average height. Our oldest however is 6 and the size of a 7 to 8 yr old and she may have more complaints about sitting in a small back seat. |

Location: Missouri | Update. Decided against the Super Cab. Then, a few days ago hubby found a 6.7 crew cab in mint condition for the right price. All the pieces fell into place and we are picking it up today! |

The extended cab was gonna have to be perfect in every other way for us to consider and it just wasn't. So glad we were patient and didn't buy it. We bought a 2014 Powerstroke with low miles and in darn near mint condition. I am pretty tickled with it. |
