I was wondering if anyone has had this injury before.  I broke my ankle 11/30.  Had surgery a week later.  Now I am 7 days postop.  Surgery was supposed to take 1 1/2 hours tops, well it took over 3 hours.  What went from being 2 week non weightbearing is probably going to be more like 6 weeks or more.  UGH this sucks and I am pretty bummed.

I'm trying but this sucks!!  I've had broken bones before but not like this.  The dr said they put in so many screw/pins in it, that if I tried to stand on it now that bones would pretty much collapse.  There would not be much to put back together.  Needless to say I am making sure that foot doesn't touch the floor.  One more week of foot in the air above  my heart.
