Like Tim McGraw's song:
Don't you remember, the fizz in a bottle, at ten, two and four, a fried bologna sandwich, with mayo and tomato, sittin' round the table, don't happen much anymore.
We got too complicated, it's all way over-rated. I like the old and out-dated way of life.
Back when a ho was a ho, coke was a coke, and crack's what you were doing, when you were crackin' jokes.
Back when a screw was a screw, the wind was all that blew.
And when you said I'm down with that, it meant you had the flu.
I miss back when.............................
Oh man, ain't that the truth?! Communication and expression was so much easier back then. |

Location: Kansas | ........and Democrats using the word impeachment as lightly as if it was a parking ticket. In 8 days they'll be impeaching a private citizen. The senile President elect says Congress can spend 50% of their time on impeachment and the other half on his stuff. Way to lead Joe. Unity all the way. |

cultural appropriation
Excellent. Yeah, what the hell is that? Does that mean I am offending people if I use a blanket or saddle pad with Southwestern Native American art I am offending someone? I honestly don't get it.
Funny about this(not really funny but funny) When I became a civilian I had a bit of a problem assmilating. LIke it was touch and go how long I was going to be able to stay out of jail trouble.
I happened to be afforded an opportunity to spend some time on the Mescalero Res and was also lucky enough to be able to spend some time with one of the tribal elders(lower level medicine man)(never was really clear on the hierarchy) Any way, some of his words, some of the Apache religion and approach to life sort of centered me again and got me back on the right path. I also found that flute music calmed the savage beast. Still have some stored and listen occasionally all these years later.
In our current situation I'm not real sure I would have been allowed to take part in any of that.
So F cultural appropriation

In an odd sort of way, this got me to thinking of "Yellowstone" and it's appeal, assuming you've followed it. I get what you're saying. |
