| That was a great race. They had several good races. It was amazing that they didnt cut back and forth to other sporting events. Was pretty cool that everyone cheered through the entire national anthem. |

big fields are tough on some horses.
The 10 horse broke good but got bumped hard and squezed out and never recovered. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | The last race (The Turf Classic) right befor the Derby was really cool to watch, it ended in a dead heat, pretty darn crazy to see this happen. So do these two horses split the winnings? I'm not into horse racing so dont know how a race that ends in a dead heat deals with this type of finish. |

Yes and a whole different set of percentages from what rodeo/barrel races see. It's 60, 20, 11, 6 and 3 per cent. So the lions share goes to first place in horse racing. Also whatever is won the jock gets 10% and the trainer gets 10%. It takes a village to win a race. |

When they called the race and it was a Dead Heat they had a camera on one of the Trainers or it could have been a owner of one of the two horses, but anyway the look was not a happy face at all, you could see he did not like what he hear about the call. So that got me to thinking about how the pay out works on this.

Man that would be hard to keep up with all the percentages that go out |
