Today is
I am going to the barrel racing school in June! Any tips or comments? I am about 7 hours away but I have never hauled that far before. Any tips on hauling would be great too. I still do not know about shavings in the trailer (I normally haul with none). My trailer has one open side and drop down windows on the other. I plan on stopping for water breaks of course. My horse is already in pretty good shape and I plan on keeping him that way :)
I am really exicted. I have wanted to go to one for a very long time.

Another BB on here is going to, Its Want2chase3, you two need to get together.
I put a bag of pellets under the belly of my gelding to absorb pee in the trailer (and, of course, at the rear of my mare). I offer water at each stop -- and they always have a bag of hay to munch. I try to stop every 3 - 4 hours and let the horses rest for a bit (15 to 30 minutes)-- never unloading -- just letting them be still in the trailer and have some water.

Not a Josey clinic fan, but if I had a horse ready to go I would go! I am at home with a very busy 3 year old. I am his grandma and never thought I would be raising a child at this age, so that clinic sounds like so much fun!!! I hope you have a blast!
Want 2 chase 3 message me your phone number and I will drive up there and visit. Lunch is about the only time that you have a minute free.
